Hubcaps or steelies?

I have a Blue Onyx 06 XB, i roll with steelies, like nightrider. Ive seen the chrome ring, i think it looks good it its fresh, but ive seen it dogged too, and that just looks bad.
Ive been thinking about painting my steelies just black gloss

I use rustoleum for plastic, you can get it at home depot. I prefer that stuff to the krylon fusion. It's really easy, the emblems pop out from the back, clean the covers and spray. No sanding needed. I've had them painted since November, and they survived a Chicago winter just fine. Plus, if you ever curb them or scratch them up, it's really easy to repaint.

if you look in my gallery you can see what my box wears.
Niche Serpant or my classic Studebaker wheel covers ( they are steel not plastic)
funny, to replace my wheel covers it would cost me more than the rims did hahaha.

I'd have to vote for the steelies, too, as long as they've got some colour or a trim ring (plain black doesn't do it for me - looks like somebody stole your hubcaps). There are too many Boxes running around with stocker wheel covers - do something different!
(All that said, I definitely prefer some type of alloys over all of the above! )

Napa won't ship them to me, and the closest of their shops to me with them is a 4-hour drive.

The center caps are bare steel that needs to be polished and cleared.
