Default I will become the chip fix master

...and I think anyone who ownes an xb will become one too. Had my Lava #257 for 2 weeks here in New Jersey where the tracker trailers are more plentiful than a mad max movie. Found a few small nicks on the front of hood and by driver side door. I purposly avoid being behind those trucks but I guess when you drive a box it's inevidable. So there is a choice to make, put an ugly bra on the most orange of cars or learn to become the all mighty paint chip fixer. Oh I also spotted a tiny windshield chip, but I'm probably going to leave that to the proffesionals.

I had the same problem. So I brought a full bra for my highway trips. I just take it off when I'm just crusing around on the street.

Yea a bra will probably be in my best interest, I just hate the way they look, but my commute is all highway and big rigs are plentyfull. I think I'm going to fix the chips and put a bra on

Yeah get a bra, and take it off when your not going to be highway driving. That's what I do. My bra covers everything including the hood on my XB :D . I'll post some pics when it finally stops raining here in NY

Nope it's easy. Everything just hooks into place. Takes about 3-5 minutes for the front and hood pieces.

Just broke down and ordered one. On my way to work today heard the crackle and ping of drit and rocks so, I might as well bite the bullet. I got a carbon fiber looking one from Colgan, not too bad looking, but I'm just afraid of the paint fading weirdly.

Just don't leave it on all the time , and keep a good coat of wax on the car.
