AEM CAI and BORLA exhaust. Then if you have money left, get an alarm. You will be so happy with the performance mods.

I know I am.

Bad advice.... The alarm should be your first mod... Then fix it up with the money left over.

My friend bought his rims first, then started asking about what kind of wheel locks and alarm he should buy... Long story short, he no longer has rims.

First things first, get an alarm with a pager and and a Club/Autolock! Then sart modding.

Peace

I'd just spend it on making the Groove Cube better to drive and to be in, and I'm not factoring in installation or shipping.

TRD Quickshifter-125
Tein H-Tech springs-150
Hotchkiss Sway Bars-200
A decent set of tires-400
Boomerang Armrest-125

ALARM??? What is that??? Oh that's right that is for people that live in high crime areas. LOL With as many times as those go off for no reason I don't see how they are worth the investment. Cheaper to not let the Box out of your sight unless it is in the garage.

Another thought, and then I'll leave this alone...with my suggestion, which is only that, the two items I suggested, the CAI and exhaust, are hard to steal, most of the time. I mean, anything can be stolen, but I think those two items are not as high on the theft list as maybe rims, or high end audio...

So, an alarm does not have to be the first thing to get....It can be, if one so wishes.

Default how about this...

With a grand to spend, I think I would divvy it up like this-

$625 ebay rims (either nicer ones @ stock size or 16-17" with tires) OR add a sub/amp instead of rims
$150 injen short ram intake
$30 broadway 270mm convex mirror, blue tinted
$20 spray paint for candy-ing taillights, and then smoking them
$20-40 floor mats
$150 ebay muffler, shipping, install (guess)

that comes out right around a grand.... any suggestions?

I would get some nice, resonably priced 16" alloys. They will weigh less, handle and ride better than gangsta riceboy giant chrome wheels. Then use the money you saved for a thicker rear antisway bar and some performance tires from tire rack.

The car comes WITH an alarm that disables the ignition. You don't need an aftermarket alarm unless or until you plan on putting $2000 worth of stereo system in the car.
