Default Interesting Monroe #72245 strut factoid

I just received my new Monroe front struts and guess what? They are freakin Made in Japan. I find this very humorous but I'm glad they weren't made in Canada or Mexico.
Monroe JDM struts FTW!

yeah those will go quick........but I'm thinking about doing the same thing only with the Tokico HTS's only for the Echo (the xB/xA's are HTS105F &HTS105R)
they are @550.00-600.00 shipped and are adjustable dampening

application chart

Echo = HTS107F & HTS107R

yep thats what peeps were doing to even out the drop on springs with diff heights front to back and the diff from front air struts and rear bags they used the rear shocks to even it out
so pretty any stock configured shock strut combo for the Echo will fit xB/xA
this also helped out with the stock height xB shocks/struts that were blowing from the extra compression
just keep in mind the Echo is @300lbs lighter so reg nonadjustable shocks/struts would be valved for the lighter car

Jeff you should know now nothing is made here in the US anymore.

The HTS are hard to keep adjusted from what I hear.

I wish it would warm up enough to put these on and test how comfy they ride.

Here's an interesting fact about the word factoid...

Did you know that 'factoid' is actually something that's made up, however, due to it being in print, it's often considered to be real?

It's one of those "if I read it, it must be true!" things.

Sorry, I'm a librarian, what can I say. :D

I think the first place I remember it being used was during the Monster Garage shows.

Got the new struts in early (1;00 am) this morning. WOW, what a difference in ride quality. Now the front feels as cushy as the rear. Rides like a much more expensive car would. No more paying the price for having a short wheelbase.

I got them from Coolparts.com for $168.29 shipped. They might be less for you cause they were shipped outta Sioux City, IA.
I didn't search real hard so you could possibly find them cheaper but no guaranty.
