Default Just bought a Toyota IST today in Indonesia,Questions for u

Hello, just got back from dealer in Jakarta, Indonesia today to buy my Ist today.

Questions for you guys :

1. Is Xenon a standard equipment over there in U.S?
2. What about rear spoiler? alloy wheels or just hubcaps over there?
3. Is the car made is Japan or some other country?

4. When do you recommend to have the first oil change? Does the car comes with oils with special addictive in it?

BTW, I paid around $25000 for this car due to expensive tax. I miss California :(

$25,000 US dollars?!?! Geez

The Scions are made in Japan, they come standard with 15 inch hubcaps.
Ummm, Spoilers are extra. And no Xenon, not that I know of.

1. xenon is exclusively aftermarket, not available as factory option or accessory

2. spoiler is an option, hubcaps are standard, alloys are an option (but everyone puts on their own aftermarket wheels anyways)

3. cars are made in japan

4. i suppose the going rate for oil changes is around 3500-5000 miles

In most other countries, a car is a luxury and are taxed as such. The cost of the car iself my have only been 12,500, but import tarriffs could be as high as the price of the car or higher. MY friends have imported escalades to the philippines and they paid more in tarriffs than the purchase price. It is just a matter of how bad do you want to own a car in a third world country. Bill

My Ist is black metallic.

Cold Spidey. How did you get yours for only $20000? Is yours 1500cc or 1300 cc?
I am thinking about getting wheels and Intake. Do you know any good shop in Jakarta?

I recalculated and the price is about $22500. Sorry for the miscalculation guys :P

Anyway, I am not interested in trading or selling any of my parts 8) The car is too fresh for me :)

I am interested in getting Injen intake. What is the average price over there? Can anyone direct me to website?

I'll post pictures as soon as I get my digital camera back.

The injen xA intake is still in development. And it's made for the 5 speed. So i have no idea when it will be released.

Here is Injens' link...

I guess they didnt.. or if they did, theyR putting it off. here is an email i just got back from Injen.

"We are going to to do the XA intake very soon, in regards to the
exhaust, we
only have plans for XB at this time, sorry."
~info@injen.com

Pretty vague answer.. i asked about intakes, but they didnt specify CAI or ShortRam. And they say that theyR not doing anything about exhaust, but Ptuning lists as exhaust as TBA. I dont think Ptuning would do that just to fake us out

http://www.ptuning.com/html/search-r...d=inj&cmbYear=

In anycase.. we've been put on the back-burner by Injen. :?

yeah lesson learned on the xB injen intake not fitting... either way, I guess we take for granted how much of a luxury we have in our cars... not sure if I should be happy (to get the cars) or worried (about what it is this country is doing to itself in order to have cars and what it does once we do)
