KEYLESS ENTRY CHiRP??
before the "USE THE SEARCH TOOL" cries come out, i did do a search, and found nothing. something similar but it referred to the security system and not the standard keyless entry system.
does anybody know if there is a chirp mode (chirp when locked/unlocked) w/ the standard keyless entry system (not the optional security system)??
and if there is a chirp mode, how do you turn it on??
it sucks because im used hearing a chirp/horn to let me know the car is locked. now, i gotta keep turning around and make sure the lights flashed..... kinda a pain....
its easier for me to remember if i heard a beep than to remember if i saw lights flash.
maybe im retarded :?: anybody.... anybody???

It depends on what keyless entry sytem they use on the Xb. I would take it to your local dealer. If they are able to program it, they will, maybe for free or a small fee. It varies amongst Toyotas that is why I am tell you to check with your dealer.

Never read anything about it being adjustable. Personally, I'm glad it doesn't chirp. my Grand Caravan does a little horn honk and I hate it. I won't use the keyless at night in the driveway...
Besides, the light flash works for me since I'm usually checking out my car as I walk away anyhow...

this would be an easy "fix".
as said, there is no chirp with the factory keyless entry - BUT - you could wire an peizo-electric "chirp" box on the circuit.
I don't know WHICH wire you'd tap into , the wiring diagram code is around on the site somewhere. You just need to find the wire that has a power pulse when you push the "lock" button.
wouldn't cost you more than a few bucks at most at Radio Hack for the part and a few minutes of your time to wire it.
