Default making the Box go beep?

Has anyone rigged or is there a pre-set easter egg rig to make the xB's horn beep when the box is locked via the remote keyless entry w/o adding an alarm?

Yes! I am wondering about this! I noticed it doesn't beep like my RKE did on my xA!

One of my biggest gripes about the xB is the fact that the horn does not give you a quick beep when you lock the car. I'll just sit here and until the answer is hopfully posted on this forum.

Not that I've heard of. personally, I like that it doesn't beep. i want to turn that =feature off for my wife's van.

The blinkers flash and that works for me. PLUS, you know you're still checking out your car while you're walking away so a visual cue is enough, IMO.

Thanks everyone, I didn't think that there was a way to do that, but I had to ask.

i'm glad it doesn't beep... although i wouldn't mind having that little "chirp" that other toyotas and lexi have.

Mine beeps. Push the remote button once and it locks the doors. Push twice quickly and it beeps. Don't ask me how or why, it came from the dealer that way. I found out by mistake. I did take the red panic button out and filled the hole with glue. Too many times reaching in my pocket and hitting the panic button at 5 AM.

I tried what you suggested last night. NO GO!!! You must have the only xB ever made that does that!

Fuzzle, mine doesn't do it either (thank God). What specific car do you have? One of the RS xBs?

That's because you have an alarm. This thread is talking about xB's without alarms.
