Default Metallic knocking sound at about 1,000 rpm (in the front)

I was wondering if anybody has experienced this sound coming from the front right side of ur xB. If so, could u please tell (if you know) what it is and how it could possibly be fixed.

take it to the dealership, that would be your best bet, or open the hood, and rev the engine and listen, rev at the throttle body

Are you at a stop light or when the car is not in motion that this sound occurs? If so then adjustment to the 4-rubber hood bumps (inside engine- 4-black rubber cylinders) is in order. Not sure how much adjustment is needed. Tell the dealer if the above is the case.

is it only in the drive way? Or is it any where that you drive around 1000 RPMs?

It's just when it's at 1,000 rpm (anywhere)

I stop and think about it, i had the same problem, it was the sensor mounted on teh left upper side of the air filter box, i used a piece of paper to wedge between the sensor and its mount, works great. have you been touchy feely in the engine compartment to see if you can find anything that shoundnt be loose, but is?
