Default Metric Speedometer/Odometer? Is it possible?

The Scion is available in Japan right? So shouldn't a person be able to order a metric Speedometer/Odometer and have it installed in the Scion xB?

Or better yet, what about using the speedometer from the Echo - aren't they the same anyways?

Point is that I'll be importing mine from the USA, and I live in Canada.

No, Scion isn't available in Canada... similar to how the Toyota Echo isn't available in the US market right?

To be honest, I think the xA looks better than the Echo anyways so you aren't missing much down there.

Toyota Echo is available in US market. It's just not very popular. I believe it's the Echo and xA that share the same odometer/ speedometer.

Edit: My bad. Echo is no longer available, but it was sold here for years when it replaced the Tercel.

Edit #2: Yeah, I just checked with Autotrader and the most recent model Echo available for sale in Dallas is the 2003, which coincides with the introduction of the xA and xB for the rest of the US. We had the Scions first in California.

Probably similarly for the tC; a couple of Scion salesmen I've spoken with have said unofficially, the tC replaces the Celica.

Scion's aren't available in Japan, but Toyota bB & ist are. they are all RHD so the Dash is backwards, but you could make a "New Gauge Face" in KPH.

The xB gauges have both markings on them, kph and mph.

bad pic, not mine but hopefully you can see the kph markings inside.

Now you just need the DRL kit...
