Million mile xB's-or Who has the Highest here?
#27
Basically, the only thing I have done is change the air filter and oil on a religious basis with weekly car washes. I am just getting the tell tail squeak from the brakes.
I am planning to do a mini overhaul this spring to replace the clutch, brakes, plugs and wires, belts along with a coolant flushing, clean the CAI interior, and repack or replace the bearings. I need to get a new drivers mat and perhaps some new seat covers. (OEM originals look great and want to keep them that way) I will definitely put original Toyota/Scion parts back on since they have proven themselves. I'm looking to get a million miles on this ride!
Nothing has prematurely broken down since I worked out an early issue with the CAI and the air flow sensor.
She still purrs along just like new and I want to keep her going as long as possible! I love my "Keiko"!
One observation in my world-wide travels... when I go into some of these second and third-world countries, you only see Nissans, Toyotas, Hyundais, and the occasional Honda that probably came from the States and Europe as second or 5th hand cars. They don't look like much but they still run under horrible to nonexistent road conditions. Nobody could tell me those cars were maintained anywhere near our standards. That's what convinced me that I could keep my toaster running forever!

I have an 05 with about 136,000 miles. So far it's been hastle free and I hope I can keep it that way!
Things I've changed other than reg maintenance:
Air filter x 2
Spark plugs x 1
Brake pads x 2
Tranny Oil x 1
I suspect I need a new clutch soon. I try to keep my eyes on the drive belts but the last time I checked, it looked brand new without any cracks or wear. Quite amazing.
