Well, my car always smells like TREES.

But when I did have to get the smell out, it took 3 days, a lot of Febreeze, a 6 pack of yellow tree air freshener's, & charcoal.
I place some charcoal in my car, and I think it absorbed the smell, well I did this when i spilled gas in my old car, so I figured it would work now.

GOOD LUCK!

another thing you can do if you don't mind having to vacuum it alot, is get several boxes of baking soda, and pouring them all over your car then leave a few open boxes on the dash and the back, crack the windows and let it sit over night, then vacuum, we did that on a car at work that someone poured gas inside and out and lit the spare on fire in the bed of the truck, still had to have it professionally cleaned ($2800) and then we still had to do a detail on it because the chemicals they used stained everything it just didn't smell like gas anymore

Stuff in the auto section called Odor X, works way better than Fabreeze. It does not stink or smell perfume like. Also keep the windows down to air out. If the smell don't go away you can put a bunch of marshmallows in your car so it complements the bonfire smell, kidding.

When I first got my B I scotchgarded the seats and carpets which killed the new car smell to almost nothing.

Because it comes from the fumes leeching out of the plastics...

Dryer sheets under the seats work wonders, and they're cheap.....especially if you still live at home

yeah. i'd say febreeze too.. the non smelling kind. kills odors. but bonfires and bbq's do leave a smell.

I'm not going to comment on that, the only time other then the new car smell that I really had to leave the windows down due to smell was when I carried my fire gear in my car for a few weeks, now if you can take that bon fire smell and add in the smell of several housefires, chemicals from those and car fires, you had how my car smelled I just left the windows down
