Is my new/used 06 Scion xb modded from the factory?
Hello all,
so today i bought my fiance a 2006 XB and it came with greddy exhaust and a injen cold air intake, is this a special edition???
(there was a TRD decal on the back of the xb with the greddy/injenn embelem in affiliation with xb/trd performance)
Should i be worried about hydrolock with the CAI?
and how the heck do i find out if mine is a 1rst 2nd or 3rd series?
I want to add some headers for more performance and lower it 1.5 like the guy on here with the grey xb...
any sugesstions for extra performance with out going turbo and hot deals on lowering kits?
oh yeah if any one knows of any 18 in.wheels for sale for an XB please contact me at
JSPAL83@yahoo.com
talk to you all soon

ours is black on black and has the radio controls on the sterring wheel, so its a 06.5 I assume? is that right?
so how do i know what series it is?
since the injen/greddy performance parts are not from the factory i would imagine the first owner put them on?
so it sounds like to complete this performance package all i need is a ceramic 4-2-1 header and i should be set.
(it might just already have that since it has the 2 other mods)
i found the parts for sale on the forum so i am looking for a niceset of 18's wheel/tire package fro around $500 shipped to me in WA or local pickup
we paid $11,100 for the XB OTD with our $2,000 dollar vehicle trade-in it has a 5 speed with 15k miles is that a decent deal?????????
i guess it doesnt matter in the end since my fiance is happy...money is just money...right??

you have just a regular xb that somebody was fixing up but traded in....it is still an xb so just fix it up and be happy with it and make it your own. i would say best if you can to buy new rims and tires i only go thru discount tire for my rims and tires.....
good luck and welcome to the life of scion and moding

Mine is a TCM (Thunder Cloud Metallic) Purchased in Oct 2006
has radio controls on the steering wheel so we both have a 06.5 model.
Only the Special Release Series with these Special Identifying Colors
produced in Limited Production in these years can be call RS models:
2004: RS1 Hot Lava (Tangerine) Metallic
2005: RS2 Solar Yellow
2006: RS3 Envy Green
2007: RS4 Mazora (Torch Penny) Color Shifting Paint
From History of the Scion xB:

The 1st Gen xBs 2004-2007 have a High Resale Value. IMHO, I
think you had a Very Good Deal for the price. I recently seen a pre-owned
stock '06 TCM Box with 15,000 miles with a $15,000 Price Tag at the same local Scion Dealer where I paid 15k New.
If your Fiancee wants to sell it to me for $11,100 w/ the extra mods, let me know
Next Year, the LUV MOBILE is Coming Here!
