Default Need Help With Gauge Pod Senders

Does anyone know what size radiator hose is on the xB and what size drain plug is in the transmission pan? I don't see it listed in the service manual and the local Scion dealership says they only have part numbers, that the sizes aren't listed. I need to know so that I can attach a water temperature sender adapter to my radiator hose and a sender for the transmission fluid temperature. Are there specs listed anywhere stating what the temperature range is for water, oil, transmission fluid, and oil pressure? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is the water: http://ssuperstore.com/product_info.php/products_id/116
They have and oil filter adapter, and they may be able to help you out on the transmission end. Talk to George.
Good luck.

Thanks a lot for the link. I bought the water sender adapter and oil filter sandwich from him. Apparently the hose size is 30mm since that's the size of the water adapter. I still don't know what size the transmission drain plug is yet or where I can get the stats on temperature and pressure. Hopefully someone on the forum will know.

I believe the transmission drain plug is 23mm.

Chadfo, thanks, I'll see if I can get an adapter plug that will work with the sensor.

you cant put a sender in the drain plug, it wont read anything there is no pressure there you need to splice it into a tranny line, like between the tranny and the tranny cooler, if they have one.

I'm going to be measuring temperature, not pressure. Glow Shift said the sender for this gauge will work in the transmission pan but I need to get an adapter that has a 1/8" NPT hole in its center for the sender. There are adapters made for this purpose but I need to know the diameter of the transmission pan drain plug. I think the 23mm figure that Chadfo gave me is the length of the plug rather than the diameter but I may be wrong. I may end up just seeing if I can get a replacement plug from the dealership so that I can get the right adapter.
