Default The New Start has came

So i havent posted anything since I got rear-ended in march.

So whats happend? All i can say is, Scion xB + Guardrail = BAD!
I know i'll get the typical "you shouldnt have been going fast in the rain and especially down hill" but this is what happens when you do that.

What happens when I get a new front bumper and my brother (who paints and does body work) gets bored?

So in the next few weeks, my PW will be getting some nice treatment. Im doing some graphics on it to but what im doing with those are gonna be a surprise =)

Haha exactly what it was. I wanted to either go smooth or go chrome. I decided since the front bumper was going to be smooth that the hatch was gonna be smooth.

Just gotta figure out a nice way to illuminate my License Plate. Thought about the lights that goes on your hood that replaces your squiters.

Edit - Should get the filler welded in this weekend actually. I have to get it done in 4 weeks. Thats putting my coilovers and re-painting the whole xB =P.

Why not mount LED lights in the recessed area where the light used to be? I think a police officer that wanted to give you a hard time would not like how your plate is lit up. (Not seeing it lit up at night) The state may not be illuminated enough and would be why they may hassle you.

You also could put the door release switch in there rather than a remote door popper.

I would use the recessed area if we had fixed the places. We it out of all metal, the only part we incorprated into it was the pad that opens the hatch.

Only prob with mounting new lights was trying to have a area open enough to actually put the lights on, and if something happened to them it would be easily fixed. Im trying to think of other lights to add to make it brighter, but its just enough light to light up all numbers and letters on the plate. So far i havent had any issues *knocks on wood* and plenty of cops have driven behind me to see it.

*updated progress report*
EVERYTHING is shaved. Everything is getting painted and were laying out graifx this weekend.

The access is through the inside of the door..... drill or cut slots and put led lights on the inside of the door so only the light comes out and you do not even see the lights.

In all fairness, your license light system is probably ok. A lot of cars, particularly older ones, have nigh-useless plate lights. As long as you have something there, you can probably argue your way out of trouble if it ever comes up.

Beyond that, nice work, though. That hatch handle is slick.

Whokilledthejams the thing is with our cars you want to err on the side of safety. No reason to attract attention from a police officer in a bad mood. Who knows what else may be on the borderline of legality on his ride? Window Tint? Exhaust? Too low? Sound system?

I like to do my best to make sure they have no reason to hassle me.

Also think it would look cleaner and the chrome squirters could then go on the hood where they belong.

You've got a good point. You never know when you're going to run into a douchebag cop who needs to A) feel important and B) meet his quota.

London should be having their cruise in on that Saturday (October 4th). Its a pretty nice get together. 2nd year of them having it and its starting to get bigger.

If you end up showing up, i should be showing that weekend so stop by.

and cops around here like to be ****** unless you know them but in London they really like to be ****** but I avoid them.

Thanks for the comments. Were wet sanding the hatch starting tomorrow and striping everything down. Friday were fixing some places on the front lip and the rear lip's maybe just become a lip and were gonna lay out the graifx my bro came up with. Saturday body is getting sprayed along with new parts then the graifx will be painted.
