at the pepboys i go to, there's a book for you to look up what filter fits. ask sumone to help you at your auto parts store. im sure that's easier.

each brand of filter uses a different part name or number anyway.

I'm debating the free oil changes, that means 3 new dents or scratches

AMEN BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!! I had this problem when I took my box in. NEVER again. Only Mobil 1 and TRD filters from now on. Got my car back with a chunk of paint missing out of the door and greasy finger prints all over it. Plus they used 10W30 instead of 5W30.
Do it yourself and you will be much happier.

I bought the toyota OEM filters online for $3.50 each. I will change the oil myself as it is easy to do and I don't have to deal with the dealership.

AAARRGH!! Crappy dealer crappy dealer!

If anything like that EVER happened here we would totally fix it without question. Dealers should do a walk around of every car before they are pulled in and mark any preexisting damage, that way if there is damage after the oil change there is not question of fault. This isn't policy at every dealership, but it is at ours and it should be everywhere IMO.

Buy the Toyota filters: #90915-YZZA2 They're cheap and they're better. The car is DESIGNED to work with these filters. Why use anything else?

are you kidding me? its free, and you tell them to inspect your car for stratches before and after you get the oil changed, andy stratches or damage by the dearer they reapir with no questions asked, dont be so paranoid. even though its a 2.0 its still a car. yout dearer is a bunch of certified Totoyt technicians always trying to put the customer first. an oil change is guarandeed 29 minutes anyway. you got a half hour to kill right? and theyll wash your car for free at your request.

after the three, depending on what you plant to do with your car, i recomend a synthetic blend of the same weight and a TRD filter or K&N.

Default TRD filters

Man they trashed my new box with only 50 miles on it. 3 big gouges in my back bumper, dirt all over the interior. And to top it off ,two porters put over 30 miles on it joy riding my Box, after they used a shop rag or brick to wash it Warranty work only

I use the TRD filter #00602-90915-0025 and Mobil 1 synthetic

at the seaport you mean, my car came with 32 miles on it. i think thats fine, its very hard to get a car with "zero" miles on it. whe i worked at BMW i made sure i put mileage on it so i know the customer was not gettin a car with bugs in it. also remember its coming from japan on a boat and then itot a huge car port. ever see how big they are?!?! Crazy!!!

Default Added milles/trufilter

To clarify. I went back the next day to have the frame plugs I found in the glove box installed. I reset my trip meter to see how far it was to the dealership, Then reset it again when I got there. Two porters pulled up over 2 hours later in my box. Looked at the trip meter before leaving and 32 MORE miles were on it.
The gouges, dirt, and scratches I found the next day when I wash it.

This trufilter sound great. Anyone have one yet?

I'll probably use Wix filters for my first oil change (this week), and then switch to AMSOIL filters when I put in the AMSOIL.

Yeah. That's all my Dad uses is AMSOIL. We get big boxes of oil delivered to our house. :D

The Trufilter has a lifetime warrenty and when you change your oil you clean the filter and reuse it, just like a K & N air filter. It also picks up more smaller particals of dirt then your paper filters. The filter is amazing! www.trufilter.com call them tell them what car you got and they'll make it, cool guys
