Very nice. I am going to do this until I can afford to get some new wheels. Did you buy them locally or order them?

Well here in Las Vegas we bought them at Checker Auto store. In CA its called Kragen Auto and then in I THINK AZ it has another name. lol Im not sure so you'd have to check your area or see if Checker has an online forum and ask what the store is called where you live. They were 12.99 each and the lugs were like 3 bucks at WalMart and the compliments daily are priceless! lol

Good luck and post pics....you wont be sorry! We just got three compliments today alone.

sorry for the thread hi-jack!

more pix at www.fotki.com/jugnu03 and www.fotki.com/scionnighthd

im on www.scionnight.com on pages 7 and 8! vote me into my first show, please?

IMO in the pix, i kinda liked the look w/o chrome lugs and rings, just flat black in the middle.. but then again, good both ways

Personally, this is the wrong car to do it 'old school'. i really hate the idea of painting it flat black and doin all the rat rod stuff. not even close to the rat rod style.

Pardon my hot rod ignorance, but what exactly is rat rod style? I'm only familiar with the Rat Fink character, but don't know how the cars look....

In my head, I had the stereotypical picture of flames and chrome rims...like these:

(coincidentally, both wheels are for sale in classifieds!)

I actually going to do this, but at the last minute moved into a different direction. Anyhow, I think the xB can look good in all sorts of styles if done cleanly...

We went to a Euro car show yesterday, as soon as I can upload the pics I'll share one of a guy's mini truck, his stick is about one and half times that high.

WHY do they do that???

I'll be back later on to share! :D
