wow this is weird to me....just because back when I had my VW, and on vwvortex all the guys would pay alot of money to have the side moldings shaved off for a complete smooth side. Now we PUT side moldings on. Personally its a good idea and works, however wax builds up and does make it harder to clean and clots up the smooth side profile of the car

I think if they were a little wider and flatter, maybe I would consider, but don't care for the thin at all. Looks better on the xA.
