The Panda got new shoes...Size 15 Extra Wide
So I am wanting to go a different direction with my box and have decided to get rid of the 19's. I have been searching for over a year for a set of rims that would do my box justice.
I dont want to do the "tuner" look anymore so i decided to go with a low offset 15 with a stretched tire. I had 4 sets in mind. Sportmax 501, Sportmax 002, Drag DR-20 (10 offset), and last but not least Work Equip 15X8.
since i dont wanna pay 1,800 for rims and tires, the Works are out of the question. I love the Drag rims, but for some reason the 501's kept jumping out at me so i bought them.
they came in the mail today and i can not be happier.

they are 15X8 with a 15 offset...i am trying to find my tire combination right now, i want to run a 195/45 but none of the tire places around me carry any smaller than a 195/50...
i think i am just gonna run the 195/50 because its so available and its only .25" bigger than the 195/45

I had a set of the high-offset ones. I loved em. The only thing to watch for are the rivets. They might start popping out on you. I just removed all of them and I preferred the look.

why not order a 195/45 off of discounttiredirect or something? the .25" difference is actually significant in the long run. i have 215/35 on 18x8 in the front and 225/40 on 18x9 in the rear, though i think i should have gone with a 225/35 or 215/35 in the rear, since you can see how the tire is fatter.

I'm running 215/35/19 and had a flat last year and didn't like the hastle, buying from a website, then paying the 35 per tire to get it mounted and balanced...it's still an option, I just wanna do the smart thing.
And those rims look sexy on your box Ian, what'd you do with your old 501's? I just bought my girl a box and the hub caps gotta go.

Thanks. Funny you should ask... I traded them with Don, but he's selling em now. Super cheap, I believe.

Will, its been a while...so those are the 195/45's on the top 2 pics and 195/50's on the bottom 2 pics? i have been looking for pics of both of them to see how much of a difference they really are.

oh yeah, and i dont do the "driving fast" thing anymore, id rather save some gas mileage than getting there a little quicker...
the 45 and the 50 is not a big difference at all...am i gonna have to camber any in the rear or should i be good as is...i am thinking about getting the 10mm hub spacers.
