Default performance slot and drilled brake rotor question

Hello all, I have seen some brake rotors in my life but never came across one with a groove cut out of it at the edge by the vent/vane of the disc. I got this from ebay brand new cheap so I an guessing it is not in high qaulity. The question I have here is have anyone seen this before and it is normal. If I install it to my XB will the balance be off. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I don'tknow how to add image to the posting. let me know if you would like a pics and I will be happy to send it to you

whoa. that's kinda shady.
not sure what that would be personally, have never seen that in my life either.
it might affect the balance when it spins and may be dangerous... i'd check with the manufacturer (or ebay seller) and verify that that cut is supposed to be there.

in the meantime, you get what you pay for. don't risk it yet.

Default performance slot and drilled brake rotor question

Jeffieboy, thanks. I did an extensive research on the net but was not unable to find a rotor with a groove cut out of it like that. Some of the web did say rotor need to be balance. I presume this much with this one that was cut. I will let everyone know if it affect the car's performance after I install it. I won't do it until I confirm with the Ebay Seller first. Thanks for your help.

Easy Answer:
Ignorance of things mechanical.

To which I also plead "GUILTY"!

You think it's the rotors? What pads did you use?

I didn't use new pads. I just replace the rotors because I felt a slightly wobble (happen once in a while--not all the time) from the original rotors. So I decided to upgrade. It brakes fine (very good) before but now I can touch the brake paddle and the car will react instantly. I dont' need to step on it hard for the car to come to a complete stop from highway speed of 65-75. There is no play just pure grip. hope this answer your question. Note..I grease the pins and all the sides that touch the brake pad too so this may have enhanced the performance. I am not here to promote any products.
