Default pics of my xB

Finally got new wheels for my whip so I figured I'd post up a couple pics. This car needs to be lowered badly so I'm gonna do a little research here to see what others have opted for. Also need some new taillights, so feel free to gimme some suggestions.

You don't need new tails. Just paint them

Yeah nice so far just needs slight drop like the df210s or H techs from Tein. Also look into some LED tails like I have on my BCP. They look cool plus add to the safety factor.
Painting tails is kinda ricey IMHO. Unless you are on a strict budget.

I actually don't remember. They were not expensive (like 120 or so). There are a few different designs out so prolly just shop around the net till you find some you like at a good price. Springs are gonna be about 150-200 but are easy to swap out. You might want to soften up the ride with some Monroe struts/shocks too. They run around 200 for the set of 4, part numbers are 72245/front and 5601/rear. Good luck and congrats on your box. I like those wheels but couldn't afford wheels when I got new 15" tires. I got tired of rolling on the 18" TRDs all the time.

Man you know what's up.

DF210s are the best, low but not toooo low.
LED tails are easy to find and they aren't nearly as expensive as they used to be plus they look much, much better.

This is where I bought mine, same store but I found them via Ebay.

What brand of wheels are those?

DF210 is the way to go. You might also consider smoking you tails with vinyl. It's cheap and will make it look way different.

^^ most tint shops have the 3M vinyl that you would need. And it's actually pretty cheap to have them do it if you're not comfortable in doing it yourself. I think the b's would be much easier to do.

Tanabe DF210s for the nice drop while still keeping a very good ride. One thing to consider though... when you drop, you should swap out shocks/struts. Two reasons... going to be modding suspension anyway with the springs, so why not. Second, if the drop is more than 1.2", you need to change them out or risk blowing out the stock shocks/struts. If you need to keep it on the cheap then check into Monroe SensaTraks. The DF210s and SensaTraks are possibly the most common spring/shock combo on the b.

Painted tails can look awesome... and better than the LEDs if done right. Have a look at JDMJim's PW. (mmm, wblood kit makes me drool every time)

Opinions on springs vary widely. I love the Tein H techs and the drop appears to be about the same. They ride great and are prolly about the same so it all comes down to which ones you can get the best deal on.
I tried the tinted tails and found them to be very dim and not very safe as far as light output. Why give the MAN a reason to pull you over especially living in Jersey? Plus you would still have stock lights. Your choice tho, just throwing it out there.
The wiper should have been optional IMHO. It's practically useless and vibrates like a biatch when the bass hits. I removed mine days after I bought the box.

Jim's tails are vinyl.

Mine have been painted 3/4 red with smoke vinyl on top. I love em and I've never had problems with the police.
