I really like the van conversion, the rear bumper, the tailights, the side mirrors, and the shaved rear hatch/front doors.

Somebody needs to post a MIDI of La Cucharacha or the Mexican Hat Dance.

I'll be nice though and say the requisite "it's not for me but I appreciate the work that obviously went into it"

Personally if I had enough money to do all that, I would have just used to buy something nicer than an xB and have a better car with more refinement and power, but thats me...

interesting concept...
I'd have to say I'm with some of the haters on the paint job though (but that green color is hot). Little bit too loud for my tastes.

and hotbox is right... I don't see why people rag on people who say negative things, as long as its civilized...

if ppl post pics of their ride, its implied they want opinions (good and bad).

that said...
to jay:
the back window definately breaks up the art too much, are you looking into getting that window art tint (lets you see out but people can only see the picture looking in) to complete the look?

Anyhow nice job, even if its not my tastes.

I am afaird if I tint the back window the tint won't match right with the paint and look tacked on.
I am thinking of doing a clear window with a pull down mirror in the headliner. That way people will be able to see the hydraulics and stereo with the back closed. That way people can see the tail lights at the same time.

Freaking sweet. Nice to see someone just go all out with what they like, paying no attention to what anyone else says.

The work there is insane. Loving the bumper. The wheels are crazy and awesome.

It's your car and you're having fun with it. You have to respect that.

Nice looking ride!

I've always enjoyed the mini truck feel to a car.

It looks good and post up some more pics!

That is one of the best paint jobs and body work without a body kit Ive ever seen on a xB. The integrated tails look great. As far as criticisms go I think you could have the same look if there were some 15X8 reverse (deep) offset daytons, green and gold spokes would look sweet. There is a lot of good mods for the rear, maybe in the future there could be a cool mod to make the lights in the front be "hidden" as well.

BTW, I hate to ask this but I believe I say a piece of string hanging from the rear hatch. Jokes aside, what was that for?

Beautiful job, looks awesome and Im sure it will look even more sick once the hydros go on.

The car looks great.

That's what makes the xB so unique....everyone has their own taste and flavor.

Props on the car.

The 5Axis cars that made cover on quite a few magazines and won numerous awards got the same response from here as well.

This car definitely is unique and a lot of work was put into it.

To each his own and everyone has an opinion.

There aren’t many if any wire wheels that will just go on. I like 15’s but then I thought, why not 13’s? These rims are the narrowest I could find, 8’s. I put on a 215/35-18 and it cleared for the tuck and that’s what I wanted. If you look the rims are real shallow but without body mods there no way to reverse them. Green and gold spokes would have been good but I wanted something more custom. I had my graphic's guy spray a paint can to give the wheel builder a sample to match and that was that.
The string? I haven’t got my poppers in yet. The strings to open the back without me climbing thu the car. I was going to get some headlights from a buick or something and put them in the front but then someone came up with the LED idea and it sounded good so I went with that. Initially the back was going to have 39 ford lights.

If you are going with the wire wheel look I thought 15" or 13" inch reverse with skinny whitewalls would have been "tuckable". You could even do something unique with the whitewall stripe like use different colors in the stripe or something. I guess the thing that Im not too fond of is not really the shallow rim but that the center knockoff sticks way beyond the edge of the rim. If there were another higher quality wire wheel with the flat center cap(yeah you wont need the hammer) then for me it could improve. I know you know that I am trying to help out.
