Default plastic molding

Guess getting a "cheap" I pillar pod will pay of in some way but it's non perfecto fit has got me asking, anyone know anything I could use to smooth the edges between the stock pillar and the overlay for the gauges? Does bondo work on plastic, and when it dries will it be able to hold the Krylon Fusion paint as well as the regular plastic does?

I wouldn't use bondo on plastic. Fiberglass would work much better. Just get you some fiberglass resin and glass over the places you want done and then sand it down then paint. You also may need to spray some filler primer on there before you paint too.

I used bondo (my diggity dad said so) from what he told me, it's easier to sand down and work with and I really only needed like a 1"-1/2" filler along the sides, it worked pretty great but I did all the sanding with 300 grit, so I gotta go back and do some touch ups

Use that fiberglass bondo called duraglass. Then after you have the final shape use a skim coat of plain bondo to finish it off and paint away.
