Default RaysxB RS2.0 Rebuild for 2009

We started with my RS2.0 xB. Cusomized it and now I'm changing it again for 2009.

Finally getting ready for my xB to be started. I have been collecting parts getting ready and now it has begun. I removed all of the graphics and am getting the box ready for it's AIT Diablo body kit ESAMs, and Garson DAD wing.

bye-bye vinyl.

Garson DAD Wing

Big Sum-_____!

fat with a F like yo mammas ___!

JDM ESAMS

quad-trumpet train horn

another pic of the horn

nite vision back up camera

10K HID conversion kits for both the headlights and the fog lights

18x8 40mm Kyowa Racing wheels

AIT Diable Kit

New steering wheel and adapter kit

LED Tail lights

Halo Head Lights

I also have more ____ on order. Including the Easy Steet Air Ride Setup with computer leveling.

Shaving off all of the door handles and rear door, side markers, frenching license plate box, & full custom paint.

Kyowa Racing Wheels

off with the bumpers and skirts, tomorrow morning, its off forthe paint shop! I Will continue to post pics as we go through the process.

Dropped her at the shop this morning 05/06/2009:

S L O W A N D S T E A D Y ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Swooped by the shop today! slow and steady! :supz: not sure if i told you guys or not had some ____ing idiot sideswiped me a month ago so they had to fix that too. Front fender and rear quarter where both flattened. I'm just glad it happened before the paint and body kit.

before sanding

after primer

they still need to sand the majority of the bondo area down to get it to be as thin a layer as possible.

05/21/2009

Pulled the dash out to get it ready for paint.

Sanded the dash using a DA first using 80 grit and then 180. Smoothed out the lip/ring around the outer a/c vents.

Drilled the dash for the other gauges

Removed the factory Airbags. In place of the airbag in the dash, I cut a piece of 1/4" plexi and installed it in the hole after scuffing it really good with 40 grit. We used 8115 to adhere the plexi into the dash. added several beads around the edge and a layer over the whole section of glass. and smoothed it out. it takes 8hrs to harden. we will then add another layer to build it up and throw a coat under it tomorrow. Then i can lay a coat or two of filler to smooth the whole dash, primer it, and get it ready for paint and graphics.

more photos coming soon.

Final test fit of the kit. They decided today that they are gonna mold the kit on permanantly vs just attaching it to the Scion.

Sanding my box down getting it ready for paint.

All the pieces getting ready for filler and paint.

Started using filler and resanding, now shooting the primer.

Thanks for pointing that out Phil...............

Guide Coat.

Getting Closer! Today we even played with a few colors.

More coming soon.

Ready for the new Airbrush artist in the morning.

Sorry I haven't updated here in a while, the project has been kinda at a standstill. I don't have an airbrush guy now..... the first one flaked out and the 2nd one disappeared????? so the car has just been sitting in the booth wetsanded waiting for airbrush. I am working on several things trying to get this all fixed. I am gonna return my rental car probably today and pull mine out of the shop for the time being. $30.00 a day for a rental car for a month and a half is getting expensive. I will just drive it colorsanded for now until i get the airbrush ____ all figured out. Then i will have it all recleared. here are some of the new pics. i started to put the interior together.

Airebrush photos removed due to extremely ugly airbrushing.....

Once all of the paint is completed, It will be time to add my new bumpstops and my Easystreet air suspension to it. I went ahead an bought another chrome 380 compressor so that I have two of them. The bumpstops are to keep the bodykit from dragging the ground.

I'm torn... the work on the airbrushing looks nice... but the design is not my cup of tea, at all. I'm hoping the finished product comes out a little different.
