Slight problem. I need to travel from Cali to MN, and I'm gonna have a car full of gear, not sure I'd have room for my bike inside my box. Any suggestions about that?

Your best ,bet in my opinion, is a roof rack with bike attachment. I drove from South Florida to Chicago with the back of my box fully loaded. I also used a basket carrier on my roof rack to carry additional items on top of the car and make room for my 80lbs dog. a nice yakima or thule rack will make your box even more versatile.

HEY pcktkite met ya at the fair yesterday , glad to see you've made it. ey as you can see there's plenty of rear mounted bike racks , paint scratcing may be an issue but theyre more affordable than the yakima I was talking about yesterday.
take care.

hotbox05, I had a 74 super beetle...it reminds me so much of the box (in a good way!) the small size on the exterior and big size of the interior are really pleasing. plus the big windows just make you want to hang your arm out the window and drive real slow. and you're right, the bug has lots of room for the front passengers, but the VW bus has a more "intimate" feeling or maybe it was my imagination upon sitting in one.

Yeah I looked into a Yakima system at Sport Chalet and it's running around $400. I also checked in what a system costs if you get it installed at the dealership, $380 for parts and then service on top of that... I think my stomach turned over about 20 times. I could get rims for that! So I might be dismantling the bike and taking it inside if I can find the space.
