Default renting a jack?

i just got s.tech springs this afternoon, and as any normal person would do, i want to get them on ASAP. problem is, my friends can't lend me their jack/jackstands. i read somewhere on the forum that you can rent them at pep boys or something, but can someone verify that for me?

Why not just buy them?

You can get a 2 ton floorjack, 2 jack stands, and wedges for 30 bucks. They practically pay for themselves if you do your own oil change

I personally would go with a craftsman Jack and jack stands but thats me. I know I see them in the paper just about every week where they have a combo set for sale. a Jack and 2 jack stands for a resonable price

i went to pep boys and bought a whole package deal.
jack, 2 jack stands, creeper, and 2 wedges for $30.
not the best quality, but works for me.

on renting a jack, if you have a local autozone, they rent tools.

Best of luck

Hey everyone, I might be of some help here
I work at sears and i know a lot about the pricing of the jacks.
We have a giantass kit by craftsman that has everything you could ever need for $149. It has a 3 ton jack with two 3 ton jack stands, wheel blocks, a creeper seat, jumpercables, a bigass lug wrench and a floor mat. If you are a part of the craftsman club thing, you get another 10% off this week.
We also have just a jack on sale for $40 that should be able to easily lift any scion. A set of two jack stands is only about $15. And no, i'm not trying to advertise for this evil corporation!!!!
You shouldnt have to rent that crap because you know in the back of your head that you're gonna eventually need it again whether its for changin into some rims or putting a strut bar on.
hope this helped

Heck, parkyboi, if you were a bit closer than 1200 miles away, I'd GIVE you my old hydraulic floor jack (I know where it is) and my jackstands, too, assuming I could find 'em.

I haven't used either for several years.
