does the ignition column cover fly at you when the airbag deploys? if not I don't see how this could happen.

I think it might possibly project to the side or something. I don't know for sure. I do know that liability is a heavy thing and companies usually aren't willing to sell anything that's potentially dangerous like that.

I'm sure that a lot of research goes into the development of a product like this and because of the liability issue they wouldn't just slap something into a car. Especially since Rosta seems to have the market cornered for Scion cruise control.

Where has everyone purchased their Rostra cruise kits from and how much did you pay?

Not really, just take your time while installing.

I would think so, the instructions are pretty clear. Like I said take your time and you should be good.

I've just spoken to Tech Support at Rostra. They do not recommend using the cruise control with the RF switch.

There is some concern that it may not mount properly and may interfere with the airbag. (It hasn't been tested for that.) So there is potentially a safety issue.

Apparently, the one that Toyota recommends using is the one that uses the stalk. If you are considering buying a cruise control with an RF switch, please talk to the tech people at Rostra first. They are very helpful.

I just received the one with the RF switch. Do you have to mount it on the steering wheeel? The clip looks like it would fit any slot. I was thinking about the "cubby" on the dash to the left of the radio. Just cut a slit in the top of the "cubby", slide the mounting device in and off you go. My '90 Corolla had the cruise on/off on the dash so it's not a big deal for me.

you can mount it anywhere you want, that is just one of the advantages of having the RF switch
