Scion xB Gas Saver?
aparently this piece fits in you'r intake, not sure if it only fits in stock intake or if it fits in all intake types. supose to enhance you'r milage by upto 33% and adds almost 20hp at the same time...

I'll eat my front bumper if this can actually add 20 HP.
The improvments from this would not likely be noticed. My brother had one on his '97 Mustang GT and he said he couldn't tell a difference.

ok, i just now came up on some other info on it. you wouldn't notice much diffrence as it's not 20hp, it's more around 5hp if that, i'm more interested in the milage. in aa stang GT you wouldn't notice that much of a milage diffrence as the milage on those things suck already and even the full 33% diffrence there has almost zero diffrence. i'm woundering if you stuck it in a vehicle like the xB or something with low to high 30s and higher milage and have atleast a 20% enhancement, could be lookin at 7+ mpg... has that been disprooven about this piece?

First - there is no fuel anywhere near the intake where that thing will swirl the air. Injectors are in the head. The long smooth plastic intake manifold does all the magic for getting you high mileage if you back off on the gas pedal and go slower. It probably reduced fuel consumption by restricting air flow just like it says. These work great on old throttle body injector systems and carbed engines to mix the fuel and air better but not in a Scion.

just make sure your tire pressure is up to 30+ and u'll get about 30+mpg.. 2 weeks ago, when I filled up, I had a millage of 27+ mpg.. not bad, but .. I found out one of my tires was at 22, so I boosted it up and next fillup was 30.4mpg.. nice!

Dealer Service manager filled my tires when I bought it and said he put them all at 32psi . . . it rolled really well and I got pretty good mileage on that first tank but it seemed a bit hard. I check and got a reading of about 43psi in the tires so I lowered them to 38 front and 37 rear. I don't even know what it feels like to run the recommended 28psi in them. But I tell you what . . . it sure do corner nice and firm and there are no scrapes on the side walls from rolling the tread under. They also wear nice and square on the edges.

Please don't buy that POS product. Guess they will still sell them as long as people keep buying. Some people will believe everything they read. Look how many people still think OJ is inocent. LMFAO!!!!!

You have to be very careful running too high of pressure in your tires. Overinflating a tire will make it start to dome on the tread and you will wear more on the center of the tread and less on the outsides. I don't think anyone can say absolutely at which pressure you will start to see the treads doming as it depends on tire size and even manufacturer (# of cords, belts, baz, naz, etc). You will just have to watch your tread wear and adjust your tire pressure accordingly. If you get it to that happy place you will reap the benefits of better mpg and still have consistant wear patterns on your tires.
