Considering that show is all acting (like 99% of MTV's shows, and other TV stations), I wouldn't think much of it. All those guys are hired to play mechanics and make a car look nice, but stay slow. I'd like to pop the hood on anyone of the cars they've "pimped out" in the past to see a beautiful 15 year old engine covered in 6 different auto fluids with a 89 dollar APC short ram intake for "performance" as they say.
Like I said, don't think much of it. Give me an '04 Xb and less than half what they're selling their's for and mine will look hella better and move along much quicker...

BTW its ISH not Nish (short for ishmail) the guys down at the shop are nice as hell....
the main reason half the cars on pimp my ride come out a little less than desired is Advertising! when Clarion gives you a bunch of crap to shove into a car for free you use it.... when rockford fosgate gives you a horid looking HU that doesnt mtch the DVD rockford HU that you are also givin for free you use it.... but you gotta admit they have done some really nice and crazy ____ at times.... the HiJet.... the chevy luv... Pimp My Ride was never aimed to compete with performace shows it is desingend to entertain.... if a horid looking "chandilier" dome light makes somebody smile or talk about the show to there friends Mtv has done its job along with WCC soon to be a household name as if it already isent.
just my two sence i know not everyonye shares my same opion or whatever but everybody has a few dislikes and likes for a few of the features on the cars and trucks the "Pimp" on that show
btw i know im a bad speller sorry about that...=)

I'll tell you what if someone wants to come by my house and call my 1973 VW Panel Van a peice of crap I will agree with them. Then they tell me they are gonna pimp it out you think i care what color or how they pleat my interior or what it looks like I know it will be better than what it started out as. If ya'll drove what i drove for like the last 10 or so years you wouldn't care either so hey do what you will with it I will be happy. Heck even my new ride i have a very open mind when it comes to paint jobs and the such.
