lol the box is amazing, i rarely ever trust polls like that because its so subjective

i like the fact the box appeals to so many age ranges, it makes it unique...not that many cars or trucks fit so many people yet can still be so different!!

So the car is extremely 'uncool' yet there's how many clubs and members devoted to it? Strange...

The dork who wrote the caption didn't do any research at all on the xB. The dork claims that the xB is "designed and promoted as a vehicle for Generation X’ers", but Toyota is clearly targeting Gen Y'ers. See Toyotas press release here:

http://www.pressroom.toyota.com/Rele...T2004090748918

and scroll down to "The Market".

All I got to say about that MSNBC crap is that it is great car and I dont give a rat's @$$ how many old people drive it because they are not going to make it look near as cool as a young person will... And what is wrong with liking a GREAT car that is cheap...I'll never watch MSNBC again...

maybe i missed somethign but am i right to say the only thing mentioned about the xb is the fact that the amrketing pple failed to realize that the youth of america dont have a reasonable income to make payments on a new car and insurnace by them selves? thus why the older croud purchases more of them?

he also doesn't realize that many PARENTS (usually older than their children) are buying xBs for THEIR CHILDREN to drive.

come on ever since that one guy faked all his stories stuff like this is becoming all more apparent

Since when does MSNBC set the official benchmark for "coolness"?

I don't think I can remember a single time I was watching or reading anything from MSNBC and said to myself "Now they know whats cool, I gotta have that!".

MSNBC =

Someone clue me in if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Citroen or the Ylanglingdingaling ever made it here.... How many Americans actually know about either of those two cars, let alone would vote for those?
No idea what a "Ylanglingdingaling" is but the Citreon is actually one of the cars that is quirky to the point where they are too unusual for most people (kind of like a xB). The Citreon SM had a Masarati engine ad was very fast. Most modern Citreons, except the the CV series, have a hyraulic suspension that will lift and lower the car at lease 2 if not in some models as much as 4 inches. Expensive, fast and less dependable than anything else and it made in France. If you have money to toss in the can you may want to try one out.

The entire article has no substance. Scion has done a great job in producing a quality product at a great price. We all know the how the world works. It's articles like that which are fueled by corporate interests... can we say "Haters"

msnbc should STFU and do a google search of thier own site before they write an article. Even the radically inferior msn search can return this article:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/9652960/

can't have it both ways - now what's it gonna be biscuit?

I have never considered MSN as a credible newssource. This just cofirms it. They use "information" that they did not research and then turn it into a game to justify their position.

Why bother? Isn't that the point. NO one cares about the opinions held by MSN news affiliates? Obviously someone does.

I'm sure for every article denouncing the xb, there are two more that are praising it. I drive a tC and LOVE it, and I don't know what age has to do with it either.

The writer of that story obviously has some issues with boxy vehicles (ie H2, Element, and xB ALL made it in there).

This is obviously an exercise in personal tastes, NOT a poll on a vehicles utility, diravabilty, etc. But merely based upon a group of writer's feelings on how a car looks. Thats just poor (and lazy) journalism right there.

But then again, last time cared what other people thought of my ride, I was in high school.

I guess cookie-cutter design or expensive would signify a good car to MSNBC.

I'm over 50, been driving my PW xB for about a year and a half. Dropped, 18's, Borla, tint, TYC's, Colgan and more.

Bet your's doesn't "look near as cool" as mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
