No you definitely don't need it, if you are very gently with the throttle.

depends on the year and how the camaro is set up... I had a 92 RS with a 305 auto tranny, and the optional "sport suspension" and the car was a DEATH TRAP! I was so scared for my wife driving it... I finally broke down and traded it in for something a little safer... 2001 gti 1.8t... and suprisingly, not only does it handle better, but it's a lot faster (both acceleration and top speed). go figure... :?

Exactly, I hear people talk about Supra's with 800hp like its the only car that can do that. Open up a 5.7l V8 from an F-body and you'll see 1G easy*.

*As easy as your wallet and brian are big

yup yup. . . but they got serious mod potential for very little $$ if you know what you're doing. . . import, domestic. . . I love em all, so long as they have at least two wheels and at least two cylinders, I'm game. Heck, I'll even race a Uhaul. . . I remember the surprised look on the Integra GSR I revved insistingly at.

hahaha. . . easy is an understatment. . . a few simple, cheap bolt ons will give you at least 400hp.

Or you could buy a new engine to litterally drop in, for about $3-4k and get 400-500hp with no modification. Why even bother with a measely 5.7L when there are 500+ cube engines available for an extreme bargain.
