Going to be upgrading my front speakers. They sound like a$$ at higher volumes IMO!
Would these fit:
4" ---> http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....at03074&cmp=++
Is there a noticable difference when upgrading the speakers but still using the stock head unit? Anyone know the THD % on the decks power?

it depends on the new speakers. the stock speakers are 6-8 ohm (mine were marked 6 ohm). if you replace them with 4 ohm speakers they will be more effceint at handleing the power, thus souonding louder.
now that will cause a problem down the road, the radio will run hotter because of the speakers pulling more power. also just because the speakers will sound louder, does not mean they will sound better (cleaner)

Yes, diameter-wise, depth will be an area of concern. the window is in the way of deeper speaks.
IMO, the best bet is to remove the 4' & run the doors & rears, using 2/3 way co-ax, or replace the 4 with a tweet from a component set, but only run them from the door source. That way the load will remain at 4 ohms.
Good Luck with it, Dave.
