Default strapping a board to the roof?

Hey-

I'm new to the site. I've owned my Scion xA for a month now and totally love it. But surf season's coming up and I realized that there the antenna is in the middle of the back and looks pretty permanent.

Anyone know if it's removable or how I would go about strapping a 10' longboard to the hood of my car?

Thanks!

Cut a hole in your board to accomodate...... j/k

I dont think a 10 foot board is compatible, have you looked into a Yakima rack or anything like it?

spin the top of the antenna counter clockwise and it'll screw off.

on and off, on and off.. easy!

Ooh, it does!? Cool, I was starting to feel really bummed about not being able to transport my board.

I have a removable rack so that's not a problem!

Yay! Thanks! You jsut totally made my weekend!

Cheers,
Mona

no pics yet but will do. yes, the board's longer than car. i had a mazda 323 hatchback before and it fit though everyone laughed or thought it was cute.

i totally unscrewed it tonight when i got home so i'm totally stoked.

btw, you must live in the glen park/ twin peaksish area with that zip code!
