styling question...purple/blue matching colors?
ok, this may be irrelevant but i'm not a very artistic person and i dont want my car looking retarded. this is my plan: i'm having my wheels powdercoated purple..lol. and then i want to do dark graphite/purple inserts with the upholstery (katzkins interior). BUT, i want to do blue cathode lighting on the interior (under seats/dash, inside oh sh*t handles, etc).. so basically purple wheels, purple inserts on upholstery, but then purple/navy blue accented dash with blue cathode lighting.
so will this look good or will it be conflicting and hard on the eyes? i dont want anything clashing and people going eww.. bad enough i'm going to get made fun of for having purple wheels here at work.. lol

I'm in the process of accenting my xB in purple. I have a BOP box, and I think those two colors go together pretty well.
So far the purple accented parts are...
a/c *****
front lower grills
ground wires
hood lifts (dampers).
Most of the purple is on the interior and under the hood, so I think i'm subconsciously trying to hide the purple. I'll take pictures when I get the chance.

As an interior designer, I'd say you won't have a problem with those colors. Look at it this way, with the white exterior and charcoal interior, you've got 2 neutral colors there, so anything you add will complement them, not clash. And since you're staying in the same color family (blue/purple), I think it'll look fine.
Just my 2 cents...
