Default Surprisingly enough I'm OK with it but, still ---

--- I got my first scratch today. One month and two weeks of brand spankin' new pristine black cherry goodness. At least the paint didn't come off and there is no body damage. I hope in the scheme of things somebody's karma gets f'd up. No, I'm not bitter...
Can scratches of this type (more like a smear) that left streaks but did not tear up paint get buffed out? Just wondering...

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I am having my father-in-law order a can of the Hot Lava Orange, so that we are prepared to fix any scratches when they happen, after I get my car...

Thanks for the sentiments...Do you think a car wash would give it a try or would that be expensive/pointless or just insane to even think? I guess that will be my mission for a while. Could have been worse, I guess.

Doc, that Hot Lava color is just too excellent for words! How awesome would it be to get matching interior to go with it! Were you able to go with that as an option? Limited edition frothy joy!

Here is something you may want to try. Its in a little yellow bottle, and it is called Scratch Out. I get mine at Pepboys. It is a fine rubbing compound that will blend in the scratch, so it doesnt look so evident. It actually rounds out the rough edges in the clear coat, so its not as noticable. Follow with a wax, and your good to go.
