SWITCHED: Got my xB & pictures of a canyon run
About a week ago i posted about switching from my mx-5 to a Scion xB well i made the switch =D
Totally love the scion. I took it to del puerto canyon had a lot of fun watching the easter sunrise. THe scion handles really well actually, different then the miata but i never felt like i was going to lose control while going into turns hard infact it was amusing to enter the turn and get the vcs light and warning chime to go off >=).

del puerto canyon
I came from modesto the "cow road" is del puerto canyon which starts right under I5 the city pictures are mount hamilton road u make a left at the end of del puerto canyon. I dont recommend going much past the observatory if u plan on driving fast. there are lots of joggers and people on their bikes and the road gets narrow. Not to say its not fun but just when u come flying arounda turn and there's this guy running in ur lane is kinda scary
that's what it looks like in the day

Nice photos! Cute Girlfriend! Great Drive!
I'm envious!!
Now you need to drop that thing a few inches, get it closer
to the ground! You may also consider a nice sway bar for
the rear (after dropping the box) to get it to handle more
like what you are used to driving.
I drove a Porsche 924S before the box, it's not the same
obviously, but with some tweaking the box sure isn't lacking
handling!

Beautiful area you live in there. We have some fantastic roads here as well. I'm grateful to live in an area where I can take a drive like that anytime I want and I'm sure you are too!
Congrats on your new xB man!

Another fun drive you can see on that map is Calaveras Road from Milpitas to Sunol. It's got some crazy switchbacks, is right along the edge of the reservoir sometimes and there's nothing like the adrenaline rush you get when you see the signs that say "ONE LANE ROAD, TWO-WAY TRAFFIC" hehehe
