David, I spent over a quarter century as an engineer fighting tooth and nail with marketing 'droids who would tell customers with a straight face they could have things not yet invented by next week just to get a contract.
Many marketing and sales folk rank somewhere near 'pond scum' IMNSHO.

Though I have an Electrical Engineering degree and enough IT certificates to paper one of the walls in our den with, my current job is working as a "Senior Tool Engineer" at a company that makes test equipment for the automotive industry. I'm currently designing and prototyping/fabricating a test bank that will be used to test some of the next generation Chrysler and Mercedes Benz OEM radios, which will include CD/MP4/AM/FM/satellite radio/GPS/and DirecTV with Tivo capabilities (via an integrated LCD display in the headunit).
