The Opendeck was the only bB I saw that comes with hubcaps. The very same ones we get here minus ugly Scion logos. I think xB should just come with Alloys anyway. Car rides better but every one is cheap to get them.

i hope this isnt a stupid question, but im going a slightly different route than i had planned with my xB (mild VIP) and have a question for VIP guru's. im getting a set of 17x7 wheels. i dont want to say what just yet, but less than a handfull of people have them. so if i get these 17x7 +25 wheels and am lowered 2" now (coilovers in my future) would it look stupid to run 3 degrees of camber or so even if i dont need it?

it would look ok
the front is easy to do, camber bolts or camber plates
the rear is not so easy
but might be soon, a few companies are getting these products ready for US manufacture and distribution

and next time, try Tread&Butter

yeah i figured tread and butter after i posted it 4 hours of sleep sucks. but yeah, id need spacers for the rear anyway so i wouldnt mind bolting up some camber plates w/ toe correction.

VIP is basically about making your suspension and wheels fit perfectly, then putting luxury touches elsewhere.

Could you possibly help me on ideas on where to stay and stuff like that, because i dont know anyone there either, but i just want to go, its been a dream since i was little. Thanks!
Well I grew up in Inglewood, CA by LAX and a ton of expat Japanese kids went to my school. So I grew up learning how to speak Japanese. That said, I mostly like Osaka Kobe and Kyoto myself (collectively called the Kansai area) because I went to college there for my masters and got to soak up the urban hip-hop and VIP racing culture there. I really only hung out in Tokyo for about 8 months when I was working for Reuters and didn't get to do much. Most every major city will have accomodations for those that are Japanese-impaired. All streetsigns, trains, and so forth will be in both Japanese and english. But the more Japanese you know, the better time you'll have if you're not tyring to do the typical touristy stuff. For example I got hooked-up with the orignal midnight-club racing circuit thru my roommate (big-azz-chandelier-bB-guy) He and his cousin used to race down in Nanko harbor, Osaka (If anyone has been to Osaka, this is that area that is by Universal Studios Japan.) There I saw I bB do about 13 seconds... I know it had NOs, but was it still an auto tranny?
sorry to veer off track for a moment. But seriously-- Id say either Osaka or Tokyo for your first time out. You can't go wrong in either place.

Hey just outta curiosity, what did you major in to get your masters there in japan? cause at this point your my idol! lol

No one needs me as an idol, unless you drink like a borderline alcoholic, drive way too fast, and like girls way too much...
International Journalism, and Japanese were my majors there. The aforementioned broads, booze and cars were my minors.
I just found out over the weekend I passed my Foreign Service exam for the State Dept. I may be back in Japan in another year or so!
I can have 1 car shipped to my posts for free-- That'll be funny, an xB in bB land. police will surely sweat me, "Do____e handle ga hantai gawa ni imasu ka?" (why's the steering wheel on the other side?" Car lovers will love me, "Kakaoi naaa! Yankee bB!" (cool huh! )

I take pix of everything! Im a photojournalist, remember ;)
I got a few already, just not that many of bBs (unless you count the first 2 I took in this thread)
People there must have thought I was crazy because I'd see a car or train i've never seen before, and go pavarazzi all over it!

Hey where can I subscribe to Option Wagon? I can pick them up at the local Japanese bookstore, but I'd like to get them sent to the house. Anyone know of a company thats doing this?

now thats a hot link! It never ceases to amaze me the way they do super widebody kits and swoopy spoilers in fiberglass and polyurathane over there. Wish I knew someone with those skills here for an idea I have (nothing as dramatic as those pix though!)

^ Great link. The stuff the Japanese are doing right now is incredible. Can you imagine how much it would take making a 929 into this?

Damn.
