Wheel Max calls it a Micro-Van. That's as good as any description I've heard.

It looks like a mini astro van, has the room of a suv, has the gas mileage of a mini car, but my insurance company labels it a wagon. Wagons are cheaper to insure.

Insurance says van, registration says wagon. I say it's in a class by itself. Just glad insurance didn't classify it as an SUV, premiums would have been HIGHER.

State Farm has it as a VAN. That's cool with me...makes it more affordable.

My wife think I should challenge the insurance company classification of the Xb, Toyota say it's a wagon and they should too.

That's easy! The xB is LUV! ;) (little utility vehicle)

It really can't be classified as a van since it has 4 doors and a hatchback. And although the hood is short, it isn't sloped like a van. UUV is a perfect description.

Agreed. The worst thing as that many of them use it as their daily driver. The size and space of it don't even come into play, maybe for a few hours over the weekend, but by then the price they pay for gas has outweighed any usefulness the SUV can offer.

Agreed.

As you can see from the poll, only 45% of the people believe the Xb to be a wagon. I'm sorry to say, that my insurance company is not in that 45%. They consider it to be a SUV which my insurance is almost the same as my SUV.

everyone asks what it is and i call it a wagon. I would say it is in the same class as like a 4 door golf, or like any compact 5 door.

When asked I usually explain it as a "Tokyo City Car."

I don't think we can add topics to the poll.
