Default What's your APR?

I know APR is base on credit and the likes, but what APR did you get when you bought your GI Joe Lunch box?

BTW, does TMCC say the APR you are allowed to obtain or the Dealer? One dealer told me that it is there call, while CarMax says it's Toyota's call.

Here's how it goes, now rember with Scion everything has to be fully disclosed, basicaly TMC has 4 credit zones for Scion based on what your beacon score is (beacon is your Auto Finance Score) so what ever your score is you would get the rate that score qualifies for. Next question what are those rates? right? well I can't answer that one yet because we haven't gotten that information yet, I do know it is supposed to be displayed in the shrowrooms(we don't have ours yet) but I'm sure one of the Cali dealers can help you with TMC APR's for Scion. Hopefully Drew or Verone will post your answer, they both are pretty standup guys. Hope that helped

I got 9% from SF Scion. They told me my score is really low. I found out later on I have 700. Just so happended, American Express offer to 2.90% for balance transfer. So I transfered everything to my credit card.

I'm in NY and I got a 6.75%. Not too shabby considering that's tier 2(good credit). I missed the best which is tier one (excellent credit)by a hair. Oh well I'm happy :D .

it also depends on how many months you do the loan for. when i was looking at my matrix i was approved for 4% or 4.25% for 60 months, but i opted for 72 month at 5% because it seemed more logical since i need a lower payment to get buy a house. to offset the longer loan i will make about 3 extra car payments a year.

Well said. All the rates are fully disclosed, and posted not only on Scion.com, but on every dealership website too! It's exactly what obz posted...if people can do better through their credit unions, we always allow option contracts, but Scion is pretty competetive right now. Hope that helps.

for some reason i thought you couldn't get higher than an 800. i thought even that was almost impossible to get. i got 4.5% rate, but that's because i got a co-signer. didn't see my mom's FICO score, but i know it was pretty damn good to get that rate. By myself i got a 11.75% rate... lol, yea, my credits horrible. FICO score is a 574. DAMN WELLS FARGO!

Nope, FICO scores range from 300 to 850. 850 is pretty hard to get to from what I understand. I own a house and 2 cars without missing a payment in my life and I still am not very close.

Okay, now you guys got me second guessing what I thought it was. I swear it was 825... maybe not... hmmmm... looks like I'm going to have to get another credit report for myself. I have NO clue where I put the last one. Before I go to buy anything with my credit I get a report to make sure that they don't try and give me some horrendous interest rate. I don't like going into anything blind. I would definately recommend doing that before you go. It's good to know what you can and can't qualify for.

i just go into dealerships and have them run my credit... it's free and it won't ding your credit. or from what i was told it wont. it's an inquiry for credit not solicitation or something like that so it doesn't affect your score. first time i tried to buy a car it was 480 (baaaaaad), then 530, then it's at 574 now. should be in the 600's after 6 months of paying this damn loan on time.

Im a 738!!!!! I qualified for 5.5%if i had the car today, but i have to wait another month and a half. That is at 6 years of payments.

All of this could have been avoided if i didnt buy such a P.O.S. car. The dealer offered my $1,100 for my Hyundai Accent L in mint condition and only 15,500 miles. I guess no one wants to buy a used tin can. I have to carry quite a bit over into my new loan for my xB.

FRIENDS DONT LET FRIENDS BUY HYUNDAI'S!

738 is a respectable score. The highest you can possibly get is an 850, and the chances of that are nil. Anything over 800 is awesome. 700+ means your eligible for Toyota's best rates available.

I'm financing mine for 4.5%...I'm sure a credit union could have beaten it, but I didn't want to bother shopping for something that wouldn't affect my payment too much. Besides, the $50 giftcard for financing through toyota is pretty cool

My score is over 700 and I had a check in hand from Capital One for a 6 year loan at 4.99%. Drew gave me a 5 year loan at 4.5%.
