yeah I forget how cold it gets in the mid-west - if only they didn't use salt on the roads at that low a temp it would stay frozen and blow away but Noooo they have to melt it a little so it flies around and mess up our cars. It's like around here they plow and then sand ... you don't need sand on a plowed road. You would probably be better off with a layer of clean ice over the front end once you washed it off to protect it.
