Where did you first see a Scion Xb?
Scion know how to catch your attention, don't they! I saw the car for the first time advertised on a bill poster in downtown Philly. I have to be honest, it isnt the prettiest box on the block, but when it said only 2100 existed it got me curious. Since then I have been to the website, even did a Build your own exercise, and have seen a couple around town. I don't know if I ll ever buy one, I cycle or walk, but it certainly has given our house something else to talk about

I first saw it online, it was the lime green, bagged one that was sold on ebay not too long ago, and has been mentioned quite a bit around here, when I saw that one, they weren't even out in this half of the country

About two years ago on a show called "Pimp my Ride". I never watch the show, but the xB got my attention as I was channel flipping. It was an accident.
BTW- IMO the xB looked a zillion times better before the show pimped it out.

2004 - Huntsville Alabama. I was coming back from getting the latest Mac OS X release (i think it was 10.2) and pulled up next to one at a redlight. I had to call one of my friends to ask them who made it because i knew i wanted one instantly.

I had taken my 2005 Camry in for its second (or maybe third) oil change and I was chatting with Arlyn Ness the sales guy about how much I liked it and and then mentioned that it made my clunky Grand Voyager seem even worse and what would you have to replace that when I decided it was time to retire it but probably not for a few years 'cause we just bought the Camry from you? He lead me over to this boxy looking thing and my first reaction was "What is THAT?" He chuckled a little and asked me to not judge it until I've at least sat in it, so I climbed inside and saw how HUGE it was inside and I was hooked!
The fact that they're quite rare (especially the Camo color since it's been discontinued) was just an added bonus. (I *like* driving unusual vehicles!)

In 2002 a honda tunning mag had a little picture and a paragraph about how toyota might bring it to the US, i thought it was the uglist thing i ever saw and three years later i bought mine, my girlfriend thought it was "a buck toothed box on wheels" but its grown on her and now she buys mods for it too.

(November) 2003 International Car Show in Miami.... Saw the whole Scion display and FELL IN LOVE with the xA.. I sat in it for like 20 mins, played with all the buttons and cubby holes. I wouldn't even look at the xB.. it made me gag...
Weeks later after lots of research, the box "grew" on me. I started to like it more. It was repulsive at first.
SO, feb. the following year, the RS 1.0's came out and I bought the box.

i was shopping around for a compnay vehicle that cold all my cleaning supplies. Teh Chevy Astro Van was the closest i could find for my needs. After a quick look at Edmunds and saw that this box hit the West Coast i was interested. A few weeks later i past a local Toyota Dealership and they had a modded BCP box right out front. I actually backed up enough to get into the lot on a major highway! I sat in the doorsotp first and wasnt impressed. I sat in the box and was lost in it! I put my order in for a BCP ( Nov. 03 ) and agreed to wait till Feb. 04.
Doing more research on Scion.com and talking with Natalie she suggested i visit this site. I was hooked. It was only days later that it was announced that the RS1 edition was coming out. Too bad for the West Coast. I waited another month and a half. I took the first RS1 in the North East. Weeks later i joined NRG ... a couple months later i meet the lovely Jennay and now we have been an item for 2 years now.

I was driving from Chicago to St. Louis...looong stretches of booooring highway. Then....all of the sudden...appeared this square beacon on the horizon. Love at first sight! I'm pretty sure I scribbled down "Scion xB" on my hand so I could look it up later.

I had seen them earlier this year, 2006, and thought wtF is that. My escort pretty much was giving up the ghost. I went to Scion and checked it out...it was for me. Saw a new one being sold as used, long story, so went up to Toledo, about 90 miles from here, and took it. It took me some time to get all my paperwork done etc....but finally got it. Alot of my buds were making fun of it when I told them what I was getting. They laughed at it when they saw it, but when they got in..... Laughing at me and my ideas is their way of saying everything is ok. Military Guy thing. Those who have seen inside or riden in it like it.

First Scion I saw was an xA. I was having my Tacoma S-Runner worked on at the dealer and they gave me the xA as a rental. They were not even available for sale at that point. About a month later a friend bought the Hot Lava xB and I saw his. The rest is history!

About 2002-2003 some guy was promoting Scion's outside a club (Mythos, BAR, Have A Nice Day) in Charlotte, NC. Didn't know what the hell it was, but he needed a jump because he had it running off the battery too long. He gave me all sorts of stuff, a t-shirt, pen, key chain, etc and I just never bothered looking into it. Saw a xA about 6 months later and ended up buying one in 2004!
