moving into a ghetto apartment 2 months after getting the car, only to have a psychotic neighbor keyed both sides of the car from bumper to bumper because she thought i scratched her 1980's pickup.

Ugh...where do I start!
Day 3: I was driving down US 1 and the back window of another car hit mine...breaking my windshield and messing up my roof.
Just this weekend I lowered my box and I was coming down a side street onto a unpaved road my whole back end hit the street. It popped out my bumper (which I popped back in and screwed the bult tighter) and bent my skirt (still trying to figure out how to fix).
Then of course all the little marks and bugs hitting it but its life and I love my little box! :D

Reasons not to lower an xA

Week 1 of ownership

I hit 2 racoons, 1 squirrel and a bird

I drove over numerous dead racoons, snakes, skunks and turtles

I drove through water that was deep enough to roll over the hood (our road floods every time it rains)

Neadless to say, if you live outside the city, ground clearance is more important than ugly wheel gap

Oh, I also got my first gravel truck paint chips in the first week.

No, mine isn't lowered, so I cleared everything, but it all made me think I probably should not lower mine any.

And once he does, you can get a CF hood or something.

... i just had my first scrape....

I was parking and chewed up my passenger wheel on the curb (i was parallel parking)... i guess i'm just not used to the dimensions yet. It isn't AWEFUL... but it is still a blemish on my new car's wheel!!

... it was bound to happen sooner or later... i kinda wish it weren't something this rediculous though... i was going about 2 mph.

uugh...

My adventures in new car ownership:

1: I live in the woods where huge acorns fall like no other. Got three dents in one night (2 in the hood, one on the top of the hatch) before stealing my moms spot under the car port..

2: In a hurry to take out the trash, i hold the entire can out the window, scratching the paint on my door handle and on the door.

The bank drive through has also gotten a small piece of my back right tire.

My friend I feel your pain. I am guessing you still have your 17" alloys on. Do you know if there is any way to buff out a scratch on alloy rims?

the dumbest thing i did was let my family drive my car.

2 weeks old...
family member backs car out of driveway and parks it on the street. (scratched plastic hubbies) was told to relax it is just aplastic hubbie. they didn't see the gash in the sidewall

few months later i put on some new 18's

3 days after...
family member takes car out of driveway to park it on the street.
chewed up the left front backing out of driveway, then chewed up front right at the cirb.
was told my tires are closer to the sides of the body than a 'normal' car.

i took all the extra keys to my car and snapped them in half. now i have one key left which i take everywhere...(even if i don't take my car)

yeah.... it was on the 17" alloys...

i looked at them closer than i couild right then and there... it looks like the curb won this little fight. I tried to rub it off a bit, but is pretty rough. I think i could buff it a bit and work it out... but i'll probably work on it after i get my winter wheels/tires on.

watch out for those curbs everyone!!

2nd week I had my RS1:

Went to grocery store, as I was putting things in the trunk from the cart, I bumped the cart into the back bumper , small scratch that I got taken care of.

Then after I put the groceries away, I put the cart away, and I'm in a bad mood from hitting my car with it. Then next thing I know, I open my door to fast and I hit the car next to me. Another dent (also now taken care of). What made matters worse is that the lady was sitting in the car next to me, and she got really ____ed off. It was a Benz E500, and the woman made me find someone to fix her dent. Talk about bad luck.

Besides that, I'm loving my car :D

so i've had my car for a few months now... and when it was in its completely stock form... it rains alot here on guam and the road is mixed with coral to make concrete and when it rains, it gets really slippery ... anyway there's this road where the road goes around these 2 triangles of grass... each leg is about a hundred ft or so and the corners are just perfect for ebrake manuevers... so all hell breaks loose and scenes from the drift bible enter my head. i actually got pretty good at it except for this one 180 turn... i pulled the ebrake and when i thought it was gonna just go down... it was stuck in the pulled up position. i must have sat there for a good half hour trying to get it loose and go down (hammered it with a wrench)... good thing it was in the middle of the night... can only image what kind of sh*t i'd be in if it were in the middle of the day...

I' don't know if this thread is still alive but, i'm gonna give mine a shot

I was drank a little too much then rebadging my Scion to Toyota. Got a Echo front Toyota emblem. Took off my Scion and put on the Toyota, I remember I was looking at it when I was done and i was proud like "Ya my ____ looks good" kinda thing. Went to sleep. Next morning came down to my garage, I was like "WTF was i doing last night!?" the I glued the emblem the wrong way as in FLIPPED. all the studs and ____ is sticking out instead of into the car!

____ feels dumb
