seems like every month someone gets into an accident. that is a good q, how fast were u going? got a pic of the tC? and as long as you can get it repiared, than there is little to worry about! (insurance is good i hope!)... i was hit in the tirewell at like 25... and put the "totaled" total damage estimate at like 12-13k... we bought it for 12 so repair was out of the question! but at lest your ok! always take pics...

But WTF, it seems that every week there is at least two threads about someone wrecking his or her box or tC. Are we trying to put Scion on the endangered species list or what. I dont know what to say exactly, it just sucks to see cars that I enjoy getting all bashed up every freakin week.

Well everyone please stay safe out there on the roads

We can only hope...
Then I can drive around proudly knowing that 4000 other people in my city have them..

Im going to try and answer everything in one post.

Im really worried about how far back everything got pushed. It won't even start, and the keys won't come out. If they repair it, is it worth the problems i'll have in the future?

Insurance wise im covered and so is everyone else involved. I made sure my baby was covered and then some. So far my insurance company has been pretty great. My insurance is with 21st Century Insurance.

As for how fast I was going, im guessing atleast over 30 MPH. I really don't know, I went and then crashed.

Someone mentioned the door, the door would only open about 3 inches and that was it. So I had to crawl out of the passenger side.

I would really love to know peoples opinions on getting it fixed or having it totalled depending on the damages. Don't get me wrong, I want my car back. But I don't want something back that wasn't fixable in the first place.

And I will do my best to get pictures of the green stitching. It really was green.

Yeah, you bet! Lets get one of each.

Plus I want a RS 4.0 so I can watch the airbag stitches change color in the sunlight . . .

insurance will fix that, you're looking at around 5-6k in damage (it'd be about 4 if it weren't for the air bags). If they don't then some bodyshop will pick it up from them on a salvage title and put together a heck of a parts/shop vehicle

NEW RULE: Scions can only collide with other scions and no other cars... agreed?

LOL - glad you and the other driver were okay.

I was just given the estimate to fix my car $8,443. Yikes! Im going to the body shop to pick up some papers from them now instead of waiting on them.

Oh and im going to try to get pictures of the green stitching while im there.

WOW! thats like a little over half of what I paid for my PW box! When do they consider it totaled? is it when damage passes a certian percentage of the value?

At least is was a straight on hit... less chance of the subframe being twisted.
Get it fixed, the repairs today are so much better than repairs of a few years back, a good shop can fix your baby and it will drive like new.

And your sense of humor is refreshing.

hahahaha, FUNNY!

Sorry to hear about the crash, glad everyone is okay! Good luck getting it all fixed, when my honda got hit, it was a huge hassle with the insurance co. and the girl who hit me... ugh... i would have gladly traded it for a new one after that.
