Default xb for the elderly

hello everybody, my mom-in-law needs a small vehicle but one that can carry an electric scooter on the back. i found a place in florida that will modify the whole floor to fit a scooter, but the expense is a little high. can the xb suport a lift and scooter on the back and if so any mods to the suspension? if this is posted somewhere else or if someone knows a website that lists appropiate vehicles for this kind of use let me know. thanks.

Do some searching. I am pretty sure I have seen some on here that people are able to roll a wheel chair up into the back.

Hello, as an owner of a wheelchair modified xB, I can reccommend www.fminow.com. They are out of Michigan but deliver to your door. Total vehicle cost was about 26k. Mine is a manual ramp with no air ride, they have one available I believe but it costs a bit more. Just so you know, the floor is on an incline so if you are riding in a chair in the back, you will be leaning back a bit. 55" of clearence and I'm not sure about distance back to front. it will fit a Quantum Rehab Q600 http://www.pridemobility.com/quantum/ I'm not sure what level of mobility your grandmother is at, the xB makes transfers to the front seat pretty easy since the seat and chair are about the same height.

See my previous post for more information. https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...251&highlight=

And a little eye candy:

I will say this is the only wheelchair accessible vehicle I have seen that is able to be modded so heavily (S/C, headers and exhaust on order). If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

I am sure that the car itself can handle a motorized lift and scooter,The hard part will be getting a class hitch that will support the 300+ Lbs. of chair and lift.
My father-in-law has a little crain type hoist that allows him to put the scooter in the back of his van with little ease something around these lines would work good on the B.
If she is able to walk she would be able to use it.
The suspension would hold it as the B can haul 800+Lbs. minus the driver weight.
If you can get someone to make the hitch with a 2" reciever I will give you a motorized lift for a 3 wheeler but you have to pick it up in Maryland.Sorry.
