xB spoiler

I agree I am skeptical to buy any aftermarket one because of less quality, bad fittiment. I wanted to do the Carbon fiber one that is being sold right now on our forums but I am afraid it isnt going to look as good as stock.
$228 from the dealer uninstalled is not bad, but not good. The CF one is $189, I like that price alot.
But one in the range of $150-$165 good quality, same or equal to OEM would be great!

yah, i like the carbon fiber one...hey tim you should make carbon fiber ones with a lil more lip on the edges...like small canards...and have them available in different tinted colors like maroon, blue, silver...etc |_______|

Yes, it is out kit on the WCC's xB @ SEMA
Thank you for all your feedbacks (I need more!)
I am planning to create a brand new spoiler for the xB. Right now I am looking at all the spoilers available for xBs... So far I think the factory one look the best
It’s easy for me to make a replica factory spoiler and sell it for cheap. However, copy is just not my thing and price for factory spoiler is very good (Remember it is factory painted).
I am again, brain storming on designs and about to put my xB into a 2-week modeling process...
As for now, my idea is to have a spoiler similar to factory, but angled a little higher... also there is a gap between the spoiler and the trunk lid (if you look from the top) that I want to fill and make it completely flat. It will go all the way across the length of the roof instead ends at the trunk lid.
Let me know what you guys think… Photochop coming soon!

By looking at the factory spoiler, I am sure it somehow provides extra down force to the car. However, I personally don't think that it will do anything unless you are traveling 80+MPH. I will design a spoiler and taking it to my friend who study physics, and hopefully I can make something that should create down force to the car when travel at certain speed *theoratically*
BTW, CF spoiler might be avalible too if some of you into CF products

Tha factory spoiler also helps exhaust fumes to be flushed away from the vehicle, this is why there is a gap between the spoiler and the car, The forced air runs down the back. And downforce above 80mph is about right.

I have the factory spoiler, but will very much like to upgrade (if feasible) to something like a Spoon Sports Duckbill Carbon Fiber wing. I thought about getting an aftermarket spoiler when I was buying my car and and would've wanted the factory to drill my holes for me anyways rather than doing it myself or having a shop do it.

I am still figuring out how to have the spoiler installed
I don't have a factory spoiler on my xB so I don't really know how the factory one goes on the car. However, I noticed that there is caps on the spoiler so assuming the screws go from top of the spoiler to the car and cover by the caps. The spoiler that I am going to do will not have those caps, so installation will either be double stick tape from 3M, or drill from inside of the trunk lid to the car.
Is that okay with you guys??

i have the factory spoiler, but would like to get something different if it would install in similar manner as factory spoiler....
i would like something larger myself....
do you have any designs for us to look at?
thanks!

spoilers are dumb , hahaha i am the only one that voted for that one, mainly because i see no use for the spoiler, the xb is not an areodynamic vehicle, why add on a part used for areodynamics, unless you just want it cause it looks cool, then that is o.k. you just won't see one on mine, it is a box needs to stay a box, IMO

i'm with ya spawn.
a spoiler ruins the entire design of the car. i mean it's a box. not a box with a lip on it. trying to make a brick more aerodynamic by adding a spoiler is just silly.
it's like the audi TT with that stupid little lip... just interrupts the lines of the car.

Hey Tim, do you need a factory spoiler? You can use mine if you need it for the little mounting pegs and what not, I don't mind. I also have a cracked one down the center but I don't think you want that.

Now I wish I'd stayed awake in fluid mechanics class ...
