Default xB thefts?

A couple weeks back a report came out saying the most likely stolen vehicles in the country and I was wondering if anyone knew how the xB was listed?

^ Actually the number one car stolen in America is the Nissan Maxima (with the Altima right behind it) because of its lights, overall it was the third most stolen vehicle. The first and second most stolen vehicle's were the Escalade and the Escalade EXT. The bottom three were a couple Buick's and the lowest being the Saturn Wagon or something... forget, but those were the only ones I know of/were announced on the list (on tv).

I always thought it was the Camry and the Accords.

This is the report I just read as well. I always thought it was the Civic but I was wrong.
Kind of scary considering I have that 1995 Saturn. Although mine is the SC no SL.

I would steal a Civic. You can sell the parts easily since there are so many of them out there.

I used to work for an auto insurance company. The most common reason for theft is parts. I know here in CT I haven't seen to many Scions so I am not worried about theft. Also depending on how modded the vehicle is, especially with a system.

Where I work, the Honda Civics that are usually recovered are completely stripped. So what that means is, its was stolen as it usually had the usual list of mods.

Why people steal some particular models is beyond me - but the reason I'm driving an xB right now is because my 1998 Dodge Neon with 147,000 miles on it was stolen from the Vice Presidential Debate a month or so back...the officer I reported the theft to told me that Dodge Neons are one of the most stolen cars in the area...

My guess is that, in some cases, certain cars are easier to steal. Or maybe chop shops steal certain cars because of parts in demand. :?
I dunno, I'm not a thief.

But in your case, a neon w/147k on the clock, maybe somebody just wanted your parking spot REALLY bad.
