Hi all. When I purchased my xB, the dealer made a great case for having a paint protection product called Xzilon, and in fact, it seemed almost too good to be true. I did a search, and surprisingly this product hasn't really been discussed in detail anywhere in this forum. I was wondering if anyone has tried out Xzilon and what their opinions of it might be.
I was also wondering if this would cause problems with any decals that I was hoping to apply to the car.
Here's the demo from the company website:

Thanks guys!

I used to work at a dealer that sold it. I saw the demos in person and I admit its an impressive product. I just think its WAY over priced. Id suggest passing on it. And the philadelphia region Xzilon rep is insanely creepy. I dont know why that matters....

i had xzilon applied on my car from the dealer when i bought it. it came with it. i thought it was cool how the dirt and water just rolled off the car the first 2 months. Then i washed it. Then it was just like any other car, it would get dirty in an hour. I would get xzilon on my car again if it was free.

it has a dirty look to it now, really looks like it gonna fade anytime now, I only washed it with soap and water once, i will never do it again. i use a spray wash thing now, just spray on and wipe off, and it's clean. when i wash it with that stuff, it has it's showroom shine and all, with a few streaks, but it doesn't repel stuff like the first time i bought it when it had the xzilon coating on it.

How long have you had it applied? Are you saying that it stays shinier than if it wasn't applied? Or is the shine fading as well? I'm caring more about the longevity of the shine than the rain-ex like feature, but do you think your paint is still protected from like oxidation and tree sap? I know it's probably not as good as a wax, but it seems very intriguing.

as soon as you wash your car, the xzilon is gone. I have waterspots, bird ****, little googly blobs of alien crap on it, i have no idea where it came from, but it looks like some kind of alien jelly, it's slightly green and its all over my car. Dirt sticks to it like glue, it gets harder and harder to clean, and no, i don't think xzilon is worth it to get it again. It just doesn't last, it's good the first day, but after that it just sucks. so, no it doesn't last long, and no it doesn't protect my paint, i would just wax my car everytime to protect it than to pay for xzilon. just wax your car, talk to it, spend some time with your car, take her out to dinner, give her a good massage, and she will take care of you. Money can't buy you love. lol.
