anyone up for a "WHAT THE?....oh.. WOW.. now THAT is wierd sunshade!" thread?

Just be careful going under overpasses! Those 19s along wit the rack should give some serious clearance issues! JK...it actually looks sporty w/ a roof rack.

something tells me you will drive around with a bike and surfboard on your roof rack even when you arent biking or surfing.

If you need a roof rack, by all means get one. But i dont understand the people who go out and buy roof racks for the "look".

LOL

Looks cool; what bike? Cannondale maybe? Now you just need a mountain bike to round it off! Oh and snowromance, I've been guilty of loading our bikes up and driving around for the day just because it looks cool. Seems no different to me than getting rims, new taillights, vinyl, or whatever. To each their own. =)

couldn't bring myself to put the fairing on the paint - I've had this rack for 10 years on countless cars. This is the first that I couldn't put the fairing on the windshield. I used the airfoils instead. They reduce the howling of the naked bars, but aren't as quiet as the fairing...

I can only defend the "scion thing" for so long to all the people I talk to that say the scion community by majority are just a huge group of posers desperately attempting to look cool.

you aren't helping my case :-(

The sunshade is bad a$$ed for sure. I wouldn't mind having a roof rack to haul my Schwinn Orange Krate around but could not bring myself to mounting it on my paint. Can you mount them in a way so it leaves zero marks or damage?

Maybe the folks your talking to are just calling the Scion communtiy posers because they aren't cool enough to own them. LOL! Yeah, but nobody ever knows if I'm actually gonna ride so maybe that helps a little? If you think Scion owners are bad about it, you need to check out some aircooled VW sites. I've got a beetle too, and I'd bet more people put racks on them to look cool than even drive Scions. Then, they add old luggage, pool inflatables, vintage ice chests and all kinds of random crap to complete 'the look'.

I used to work for Yakima. If You bought a bike rack in 1988, I probably boxed it. They make great stuff.

cool beans.
How much did you get the roof rack for?

I like the sun shade.

I would like one like that with white eyelids to match my box.

Thats from "cars" the movie right?
