Try reversing the polarity of the connections to the ballasts.

Have you placed the order already? If so then PM me your First and Last name and mailing address.
For Ford Winstar you will loose the high beams due to the electrical setup the high beam will not function properly. You can only install lows only.

YES! I've decided that I'm going to place my order for a HID kit this month. I still haven't decided what color to get though. I want that nominal safety-net-blue look with a HIDXTRA (sorry if it's all caps, but I don't know how it should be spelled. Like iPod is spelled that way and some people spell it like Ipod even though that's wrong ) kit.

I might leans toward the diamond white look, 6K, but I do want a noticeable blue, too. I just don't want blue lights to appear in my windows because of those noticeable blues.

I've got a 6500K kit and its slightly blue but not obnoxious enough to look retarded or get you a ticket. I hate the look of the 10-12k bulbs and I always see them on jacked up Ford's and Chevy's, it just looks so "aftermarket" where as the 6000k looks more factory and clean IMO.

Can anybody who has put 5000k or 6000k from HIDXTRA in a 2nd-Gen xB tell what you think about the color output? Does the low beam projector lens alter the color at all. It just seems hard to believe that the 5000k & 6000k have no blue tint to the light (as per the color breakdown in his sponsored seller thread).
Thanks.

I just ordered the 6000K yesterday, once they are here and I get a chance to put them in, I will let you know about the color.

Just installed the HIDextra 5000k kit yesterday, the difference is incredible!

Wow that looks really good. Thanks for the pics there. The clarity is amazing. Do you have a sideways picture of it to see how far the HID shoots out compared to Halogen with this HID kit?? I'm going to be getting the 6000k kit instead of the 5000 just so I can have that hint of blue in it.

So you finally decided on 5000K. Looks like a good choice, Bro. Despite my early concern about mine being too blue and possibly 6000k (since they aren't labelled), I luv 'em now. I don't know if they 'burned in' or I just got used to them but I'd sure hate to go back to halogens.

How do they match those sick leds you have?

The LEDs are a little more blue, but I decided that to try & match them would probably draw too much attention from Johnny Law here in Cali. I also figured as long as I'm paying for more light, I might as well get the most bang for my buck.

I still need to do the H8 reverse light mod, but you're probably tired of hearing that.

That was something that I am considering to do with my box as well, I'm just afraid of blinding people as I go into reverse. Granted, it's lower to the ground, but still.

The LEDs must look much better with the HIDs than they did with the H11s. As for the H8 mod, you seem to lack proper motivation. You have one week or I want my harness back! Does that help?

Pyroman, the H8 is only 35W and aimed downward. It's only as bright as the normal dual reverse light setup on other cars. No worry about blinding anyone.

I'll cut you some slack this time since I see you've been busy getting new shoes and socks. They look great.

I haven't worked out all the numbers yet, but my mpg seems to be CRUSHED; I'm not very happy about that.

Just put a turbo and bigger injectors on it! My trip computer mpg stays well above 30 now. On the downside, my actual mpg is 10mpg less than that...
