Bug Deflector/Rock guard

I just keep a tiny thing of touch up:primer, paint and clear in my glove box.
Also, I tape off the front (yes, lame-o show car style) when I drive over 500miles on the highway. You may laugh, but it's why my bumper/hood isn't covered in chips :D

I bought the Scion Canadian Hood Deflector PN PU500-52011 from:
James Miller, Parts Advisor

I received great customer service. Shipping was less than a week. Cost $220.75 US including the tax & shipping. It was more than I wanted to spend, but there was no other option I liked.
It is possible to do this by yourself, but its a BIG help to have a second set of hands to help hold things as you progress, so you don't damage anything.
The whole thing only took about 35 minutes -If I did it again it could be done in about 10 minutes. (Time does not include washing & waxing prior to install.)
There are 6 finish protectors (see install instructions attached) really vinyl plastic film patches to cover the paint on the lip of the hood where the metal/plastic clips are mounted. The instructions are pretty fool-proof. There are 6 clips 4 metal ones in the center sections and 2 small plastic & metal ones out just above the headlights. Across the hood are spaced 6 rubber stand-off bumpers. Only tool needed was a medium size phillips head screwdriver.
I am happy with the way it turned out. Why Toyota/Scion doesn't sell this accessory here in the US is hard to understand. I wish they made one for my xD!
